Direct Loans, Guarnateeed Loans, Grants, Equity Financing and Interest Subsidies. Technical Assistance: Provides businesses and communities with assistance through resaerch, training and information regarding Marketing. Promotion/Coordination: Involves activities which promote the states' economy or specific sector of economy, often with the cooperation of the private sector. Resources Agriculture Utilization Research Institute(AURI) - a nonprofit corportation created to improve the economy of rural Minnesota through new uses and new market for the state's abundant agriculture commodities. The Institute assists Minnesota Businesses along every product development step from research to marketing. Area Partnership for Economic Expansion (APEX) - An entrepreneurial business development organization, led by top executives and senior managers from the region's largest most successful companies. Arrowhead Regional Development Committee(ARDC) - Serves as an umbrella agency for a wide variety of local, state and federal initiatives. These services include services to the aging, human services, transit, transportation, metropolitan planning, economic development, communiuty development, and natural resources. Economic Development Administration - An Agency of the Untied States Department of Commerce, provides financial assistance to help distressed communities overcome barriers that inhibit the growth of their local economics. Enterprise Minnesota - has helped Minnesota's small and medium size manufaturers compete and grow. Through highly personalized services tailored to specific needs of our client companies, we help develop more effective business leaders excellent plant-wide operational excellence and promote creative strategies for growth and better profitability. As Minnesota's MIST/MEP affiliate, we bring well-tested new products and services to clients. Iron Range Resources (IRR) - To advance regional growth by stabilizing and enhancing the economy of northeaster Minnesota's Taconite Assistance Area. Minnesota Small Business Development Center - Program is designed to deliver up-to-date counseling, training and technical assistance in aspects of small business management. Minnesota Workforce Center - Represents a unique partnership of employment and training organization that reflects the needs of each community and represents a move from red tape to results, focusing on provideing information and resources that enable individuals to achieve economic security and employees to successfully compete in today's economy. Northeast Entrepreneur Fund - A private nonprofit organization that helps people develop their ideas for starting or expanding small businesses in northeast Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.
