Contributing to a Welcoming Community
The November Breakfast Connections hosted by Virginia Community Foundation and Northern State Bank of Virginia was a morning filled with making new connections, meeting new faces, and hearing about all the great updates going on around the community. The intimate space allowed guests to engage in meaningful conversations and enjoy a hot breakfast prepared by the hosts.
Attendees each had a chance to share upcoming news about their organization while practicing their elevator pitch. Some notable highlights were the upcoming programs and events put on by United Way, the launch of a new fundraising campaign by Iron Range Today, and the importance of updating to Windows 11 from Tech Bytes.
Guests heard updates from Northern State Bank of Virginia and staff emphasized that their model is to build relationships, be engaged with their patrons, and be a part of the community. Virginia Community Foundation also shared their big news... partnering with City of Virginia and Revive Virginia, they announced that fundraising and plans for a new community splash pad are moving forward. The splash pad will be located on the west side of Silver Lake in Virginia, and will provide a free, safe, and accessible recreational space for residents of all ages.
