A Week of Connection, Collaboration, and Community Building at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center
This past week was one of the busiest, and most energizing weeks of the year for the Laurentian Chamber of Commerce. With four days of back‑to‑back programming hosted at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center, we were reminded just how essential this facility is as a community asset, a multi‑purpose hub, and a true partner in regional economic vitality.
From Tribal Relations training to a major regional job and volunteer fair, the Iron Trail Motors Event Center once again proved why it’s one of the most versatile and impactful spaces on the Iron Range.
Strengthening Understanding: Tribal Relations Industry Training (Monday & Tuesday)
We began the week with two full days of Tribal Relations Industry Training, bringing together business leaders, community partners, and regional stakeholders for meaningful learning and dialogue. The Iron Trail Motors Event Center’s flexible meeting spaces created the perfect environment for focused conversation—large enough to host a significant group, yet intimate enough to support thoughtful engagement. This training underscored the importance of relationship‑building, cultural understanding, and shared economic opportunity across our region.
Midweek Momentum: Job Fair Setup & Business Happy Hour (Wednesday)
Wednesday was a showcase of the Iron Trail Motors Event Center’s multi‑purpose strength. While one side of the facility buzzed with Iron Range Job & Volunteer Fair setup, the other side welcomed Chamber members for a lively Business Happy Hour, co‑hosted with the Iron Trail Motors Event Center and Boomtown.
This dual‑use day highlighted exactly why the Event Center is such a powerful community resource:
- It can transition seamlessly from professional training to large‑scale event prep
- It supports simultaneous programming without compromising quality
- It brings businesses, job seekers, and community members together under one roof
The Happy Hour itself was a celebration of partnership and an opportunity for local professionals to connect, share ideas, and build relationships over delicious hors d'oeuvres prepared by the amazing Boomtown team.
A Regional Workforce Showcase: Iron Range Job Fair (Thursday)
Thursday’s Iron Range Job & Volunteer Fair brought hundreds of job seekers and dozens of employers to the Event Center. With record breaking attendance, the scale of the event demonstrated the facility’s capacity to support major regional initiatives. The team at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center handled everything with professionalism and ease.
The Chamber’s partnership with the Iron Trail Motors Event Center team was on full display. Their staff worked alongside ours to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and well‑organized experience for everyone involved. This event wasn’t just a job fair—it was a reminder of how shared spaces can drive economic development, workforce connection, and community growth.
A Week That Showcased What’s Possible
Across four days, the Iron Trail Motors Event Center demonstrated exactly why it is one of the region’s most valuable community assets:
- A place where learning happens
- A place where businesses connect
- A place where job seekers find opportunity
- A place where the Chamber and community partners can build something bigger—together
The Laurentian Chamber of Commerce is grateful for our ongoing partnership with the Iron Trail Motors Event Center team. Their commitment to flexibility, professionalism, and community impact makes weeks like this not only possible, but powerful.
