Leadership Laurentian

Leadership Laurentian

Growing Leaders. Strengthening Community.

The Laurentian Chamber of Commerce presents Leadership Laurentian, a nine-month leadership development program created to break down barriers, strengthen connections, and develop leaders who authentically represent the Eastern Mesabi Iron Range.

Through this immersive experience, participants engage with the Iron Range’s economic, civic, and cultural landscape while building the confidence, competence, and connections to lead effectively within their organizations and throughout the region.

About the Program

Leadership Laurentian features an original curriculum developed by the Laurentian Chamber of Commerce, known as the 7 Pillars of Influence.
This framework is inspired by and adapted from leadership coach Justin Thomson’s 7 Pillars of Leadership model. It offers a locally grounded approach to leadership development built around seven essential pillars: character, courage, confidence, communication, culture, competence, and coaching.

Each monthly session combines leadership learning, regional exploration, and behind-the-scenes access to Iron Range employers, institutions, and community organizations. Participants gain a deeper understanding of how leadership influences the region’s economic vitality and quality of life.
