Business After Hours – 10/25/2023

A Story of Hope and an Evening to Remember

Thank you to everyone who attended last night's Business After Hours at Sawmill Saloon hosted by Virginia Coop Credit Union, North Star Credit Union, NorthRidge Communities Credit Union, and Northern Communities Credit Union.

Shortly after observing National Credit Unions Day on October 19th, we continue to see how these four local credit unions are joining together to be a force for good for our community, our Chamber, and one another.

At the end of the well-attended evening, we heard messages from Don Rausch (VCCU), Melissa Cox (North Star C.U.), Trina Hoff (NCCYou), and Gabby Randall (North Ridge C.C.U.) as they discussed the value of giving back and being involved in their communities.

Along with many others dressed in pink for the event, Trina Hoff, the CEO of Northern Communities Credit Union shared her story of her life-saving birthday appointment in hopes to inspire others and to raise awareness of breast cancer and the importance of those routinely scheduled checkups.

We applaud you for your strength, and thank you for sharing your story of hope with us all, Trina! To learn more about Trina’s journey, check out this recent story in the Mesabi Tribune: Mammogram a life saving gift for local woman | Local | mesabitribune.com
